ALS, 1865 May 1 : Philadelphia, to Lewis Jacob Cist.

Replying to a request for Stuart's autograph, Sully states that it is scarce. Possibly Jane Stuart might have one. Then he identifies Franklin Peale in Girard Street as the son of Charles W. Peale. Sully had been a pupil of Gilbert Stuart.
